How it works

Vantage follows six carefully structured steps, each building on the last.

It starts by getting completely under the skin of your business: its purpose, its plan, its ambition, its culture. Because a legal function that doesn't deeply understand what the business is trying to achieve can't possibly help it get there.

From there, your GC works with your Exec team to establish a clear mandate on what the legal function is there to do, and just as importantly, what it isn't. That clarity alone transforms how your GC operates and how your business engages with them.

The programme then moves into horizon scanning - bringing your senior team together to identify the threats your business isn't seeing, using the same fresh-thinking approach behind our Radar workshop. This gives your GC an immediate, visible win and establishes them as a strategic operator from the outset.

The biggest step follows: your GC uses everything they've learned to diagnose and then tell your business exactly what it needs from a legal, compliance and risk perspective to hit the plan. Not ask. Tell. That shift in dynamic is transformative.

 

That diagnosis becomes a formal legal business plan: fully costed, fully prioritised, agreed with your Exec. It sets out what gets done, in what order, with what resources. And what doesn't get done, and what that means for the business.

Finally, the programme establishes the infrastructure to run your legal function as a proper internal business, with the monitoring, reporting and support needed to deliver the plan and keep the business on course.
